Nehru jacket has been immensely popular attire in Indian subcontinent as well as some western countries. In India people are aware about Jawahar Lal Nehru but when it comes to other countries then awareness is less. In this blog, we will take you through life of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru who was first prime minister of India. He was born on 14th November 1889 in Allahabad which was part of United province before 1947. His father was a barrister and from an educated and wealthy family of Kashmiri Brahmin origin.


This is quite interesting to know that Pandit Moti Lal Nehru was two times president of Indian national congress. Anand Bhawan in Allahabad is place where childhood of Pandit Nehru passed. In 1905, he went to England for schooling. Pandit Nehru was a science graduate from Trinity college in Cambridge. Pandit Nehru later studied law at court school of law and passed bar examination in 1912. In the same year 1912, he decided to leave London and came back to India and started working at Allahabad high court.         


Later MK Gandhi retuned India in 1915, Nehru-Gandhi met and idea of complete Indian independence started. In beginning days of freedom struggle before Nehru-Gandhi, it was not intense, politicians were not able to connect people and to get them ready for agitation. After India’s Independence in 1947, Pandit Nehru became first Prime minister of India. He is also known as Architect of India because of his futuristic thoughts. He started working for India’s infrastructure as he established IIT, IIM, BHEL, ISRO, NTPC and many other institutions and industries.
